History

A neighborhood, a story

BercyGare de LyonNationCoulée verte

Until the 20th century, Bercy was the largest wine market in Europe. Its paved wine cellars have been redeveloped and now form Bercy Village. The 12th arrondissement is organised around Gare de Lyon and Place de la Nation. The old Bastille railway line was transformed in 1993 into the Coulée verte René-Dumont, the world's first elevated park on a viaduct, which stretches all the way to the Bois de Vincennes.

Bercy, Gare de Lyon, and the Bois de Vincennes: The 12th arrondissement offers space, greenery, and a direct connection to the south of France and eastern Paris.
